The 2026โ€“2027 school year is here, which means #HillsdaleTuesdays are back!

Hereโ€™s a little peek at what some of our Hillsdale classrooms have been up to!

Our Cedar friends have been learning about living and non-living things, while our Oak friends explored farm animals with a little Practical Life mixed in - learning how to properly wash and care for objects. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿงผ

And a big shoutout to one of our Oak parents for donating this beautiful washing table! Itโ€™s already being put to good use. ๐Ÿค

Students in our Pre-Primary Program have been exploring new lessons. The Teen Beads demonstrate number quantities 11-19! The students build their numbers by using one Golden Ten Bead Bar and pairing it with a corresponding Coloured Bead!

Leading into Indigenous Peopleโ€™s Day coming up on June 21st, our Mayfield Campus has been learning about two beautiful cultures: Inuit and Metis.
ย
Ms Cassandra taught us all about the Inuit culture of music. Students learned about โ€œkatajjaniqโ€ (throat singing), โ€œqilautโ€ (traditional Inuit drum) and so much more amazing things!
ย
Mr Nathan shared all about the history of Metis peoples, the Red River Cart and the importance of his โ€œla sayncheur flayshiiโ€ (Metis Sash)!
